UIL Mathematics

The UIL Mathematics competition has students take a comprehensive test covering all areas of mathematics learned at the high school level (Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonomety, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics), and includes topics of random mathematical interest. The test is broken up in such a way that even if a student has not had a high level math course yet, he or she can still compete and earn a positive score with the right preparation. We start by evaluating the current level of the student (mathematically speaking), and practice from there.

The test consists of 60 objective-type, multiple-choice questions and lasts 40 minutes. The students can use any silent calculator that does not need electricity to operate.

Any students interested in learning more about the competition or participating can come by my room, B10, and I'll get them any necessary information.
