As a teacher I aim to lay a firm foundation within my classroom where knowledge can be obtained, along with other skills that are vital to life and survival. I feel that the world itself is a classroom and that students learn best by relating life experiences to learning. Learning is active, dynamic, moving and ongoing. It is not stagnate or passive. The student is a problem solver and a thinker who learns unconsciously by living in their own environment. To be a successful teacher you must provide relatable experiences so that students can learn by doing and interacting. I want them to know that despite their backgrounds, shortcomings, or ill-odds by achieving an education they can achieve anything.
